CoolPlanet Energy Systems is a new Silicon Valley style startup located in Camarillo, California. It is the creation of an experienced team of technology innovators/startup experts who have created several successful companies.

Mike Rocke, VP, Business Development. Recently VP Biz Dev at Transonic, earlier at LLNL, Intel R&D and Intel Capital. (BSME UCB, Stanford GSB, 2 patents, 4 publications)

Tim Noonan, VP Finance. Recently VP of Finance, Transonic Combustion, earlier VP Treasurer, Inamed (AGN), Treasurer, Mentor Corp (JNJ), PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte. (CPA; BS Accounting, Cal State Northridge)

Basil R. Horangic, board member representing North Bridge Venture Partners. Previously at Austin Ventures with early career at Goldman Sachs, McKinsey and Oak. Started 2 companies, successfully incubated 4 others. (BS, Computer Science, BS Economics, MS Operations Research at MIT, MBA at University of Chicago)

Technical Advisory Board

Leo Manzer, PhD –32 years in catalysis and process development at DuPont, 130 patents, 90 publications and 16 scientific awards. He was the founder and director of the Corporate Catalysis Center and A DuPont Fellow.

David Austgen, PhD, MBA –21 years at Shell. Developed Shell hydrogen and Shell's alternative energy/biofuels effort. Also an adjunct professor on innovation and technology at Rice University.

Raymond Hobbs, BSME, MBA –26 years at Arizona Public Service, chief engineer at coal fired plants followed by R/ D in the hydrogen economy, EVs, coal gasification and carbon dioxide sequestration. 8 patents and 5 clean tech awards.

Cliff Detz, PhD –25 years at Chevron managing R/D in catalysis, refining processes, and environmental technology. Cliff led Chevron's investment in numerious technology companies and was the founder of the Chevron Technology Ventures Group.

Ron Sills, PhD –12 years at BP as Gas Conversion Network Leader, hydrocarbon conversion (GTL experience), 16 years at Mobil managing the Research Planning and Evaluation Group. His specialties include conversion technologies and analyses of the natural gas/coal/biomass to products value chain.
