High performance carGlobal Warming? What about America's dependency on foreign oil?

Even if you don't think global warming is a major problem, you should be concerned about America's increasing dependence on foreign oil which is both transferring our national wealth to foreign interests and decreasing our national security.

CoolPlanet Energy Systems' biomass fractionator and thermal catalytic process convert crop residue, waste biomass, and rapid growth fuel crops to fuel plus soil enriching carbon, thus providing a
positive feedback loop for increasing fuel productivity. By combining this soil enhancement feature with fast growing fuel crops, and our superfuels' ability to yield higher gas mileage, effective crop yields in the range of 1,000 to 2,000 gallons per acre per year appear feasible. Carefully matching this renewable superfuel to advanced vehicle engines, maximizes "miles per acre." This technology could enable the US to become energy self sufficient in the transportation sector.

biomass used in making biofuelsCoolPlanet BioFuels revolutionary Negative Carbon "N100" fuel is being made in the laboratory today and is being tested in unmodified automobiles with fleet testing expected to start in Q1-2012. Unlike conventional biofuels which are based on ethanol or biodiesel, CoolPlanet BioFuels' Negative Carbon "N100" gasoline is completely hydrocarbon based and is fully mixable with gasoline at all ratios without the issues that limit the usefulness of highly oxygenated biofuels.

Our refining technology can produce a traditional high octane component of gasoline which can be blended with fossil fuel gasoline at the refinery level to produce reduced carbon fuels such as mandated in California by 2020.

Additionally, we can make advanced superfuels which have an even higher octane rating and higher energy content than gasoline. Such superfuels will provide a noticeable improvement in gas mileage in conventional car engines, and can also provide a dramatic improvement in mileage with advanced engine designs which can detect the presence of high octane fuel and automatically adjust to maximize performance and mileage.

Filling car with negative Carbon FuelCoolPlanet Energy Systems' refinery process is optimized for cellulosic feedstocks and, although it can process food grade carbohydrates and sugars, it is generally more economical and efficient to use food crop residues and fast growing plants (C4 based fuel crops). CoolPlanet BioFuels' preference for plant residue such as corn stover and its production of crop enhancing soil additive is expected to actually reduce the price of food since the production of food and fuel are highly complementary with this technology.

CoolPlanet's vision is to provide this revolutionary fuel technology at a cost highly competitive with fossil fuels, thus eliminating dependence on foreign oil and reducing atmospheric carbon dioxide with no added cost to the consumer.
